3Fun, but an overall disappointment
By Joseph Konigsberg
I'm going to split the review into two parts: one for the game itself and one that specifically addresses the collector's edition.First the game:The game is a lot of fun but it falls really short. The story passes through quickly, it really feels like there's about four levels (the game splits it into 8 or 10). The game play is basically the same as the first, using the Force is a little iffy at times, but it's cool to have all the Force powers, yadda yadda yadda. This one is significantly less buggy than the first, which is nice. It also looks a lot better than the first one. Cut scenes are a given, I personally feel the game itself was also cleaner. However, the game does have its drawbacks. For one, the story mode is entirely too short and doesn't really add anything to the Star Wars universe. It works as a sequel, sure, but where the first one tied episodes 3 and 4 together in a brilliant manner, this is at best an epilogue to that. You're possibly a clone, you escape Vader, stuff happens that really only matters to Starkiller (I'm trying to avoid spoilers here) and then you go back to fight Vader again, then nothing really happens or is resolved. I'm willing to admit I missed something, but I just don't see how that contributes to the overall story.Another issue I have with the game is the challenges. Some of them are insanely difficult. I know there's a certain degree of fun in something being a challenge, but in my opinion a few of them just go too far. The first one, for example, has you input all the combos to "prove your mastery of the Force." Sounds like fun, right? Unfortunately not. The response of your inputs can be VERY selective. For example, hitting Square three times might actually require six inputs for three to be recognized. To a certain degree you can figure out the game's timing, but it likes to randomly decide you weren't fast enough. Even if you're in mid-combo. Or the training droid will attack you, or the game will wait a good 5+ seconds before putting the input back up, which greatly affects your score. You might have heard that this game was supposed to have a multiplayer mode, but as another reviewer already mentioned, this is for Wii only. From what I've seen it looks pretty similar to Super Smash Bros, which could be fun but meh. That was probably clearly stated, but word of mouth chose to ignore it.So overall, I would give the game three, three and a half stars. It's definitely fun and worth looking into if you enjoyed the first one, but I would wait for the price to come down, as you'll finish just about everything it has to offer in a matter of a few days (seriously, I beat the story on Hard the day the game came out, and I'm not that spectacular at these games). The game is supposed to get some DLC in the near-ish future, I'm hoping it's either cheap, free, or very good to make up for what I, and many others, feel lacked from the game.As for the Collector's Edition, I would not buy it. I'm typically a sucker for these things, so I got it without question. The bonus stuff on the flash drive, the extra sabers and costume...I thought it would be worth it. It is not. The flash drive is okay, but really more gimmicky than anything else. It's shaped like Starkiller, you can see the pictures. All it really has on it is a Flash backdrop and 5 or 6 pictures in various sizes. According to the box there's a full game script as well, but I was unable to find it.The lightsaber was not worth it to me, especially since I pre-ordered from Gamestop. The Gamestop lightsaber powers up all attacks, the Collector's Edition only powers up lightsaber attacks. From what I inferred not even by that much, but then again there's no real objective way to tell. The costume is also pretty mediocre. Again, the Gamestop preorder is the winner, the Maulkiller costume looks very cool. Finally, the Collector's Edition comes with three extra challenges. They're mediocre. About as much fun as any of the other challenges, but really nothing too special or something that you "need" to have. Of course, the comparison of the costumes and lightsabers is pretty useless to anyone who didn't preorder, but honestly, all in all, keep your $15-$20 and just get the normal edition. The game comes in a plastic case which houses the metal case and the flash drive. The metal case itself is a little cheap. Seems to me like it would scratch or dent easily.I would give the Collector's Edition extras two stars at best. There simply isn't enough there to justify the extra money spent. I honestly felt a little...well I wouldn't exactly say cheated, but I certainly feel that I didn't get my money's worth with respect to the extras. I would just put that $15 to $20 aside and investigate the DLC when it's released. So yeah. I hope that was helpful! Avoid the mistake I made, I somewhat doubt the Collector's Edition will be in short supply any time soon.

1FU2 Lucasarts
By Dougout78
What can I say... The sequel is never as good as the original, right? If you own the first Force Unleashed, then you've played this game before but with a better story, and more in-depth gameplay. There's maybe 5 hours of story play, less if you skip the cutscenes and the story is very unsatisfying with more than a few holes in it. They promised we'd find out whether or not we're playing a clone and by the end you're still not sure.Yes, the cutscenes look better this time around, but it's not surprising that CG Movies would improve in the newer game. What is surprising is that the gameplay looks exactly the same as the first game. You do get all combos accessible from the start. Though, most of the combos are identical to FU, the only difference being the second saber. Instead of a Lightning Shield, you get Mind Trick, so instead of taking less damage and dealing more damage, you get a weak enemy to battle with you for 3 seconds. No more character ability upgrading, experience points are now only used to upgrade force abilities. It is cool that you can mix and match saber crystals to augment different aspects of your character, similar to the what power crystals did in the first game, but I like when both sabers look the same regardless of their ability. If you remember having problems with targeting and button response in FU, you'll be dismayed to find that no improvements have been made with the technical problems. You'll still find yourself turning around to stare at the screen instead of battling the enemy in front of you. There will be times when you're asked to hold a trigger button and press X repeatedly and you just start jumping repeadetly instead of raising a door, or blowing through a force field. From time to time, enemies won't take damage when expected to, assuming you can target them at all.For most of the people who bought the Collector's Edition, the Mimobot USB doesn't work. Autoplay doesn't always recognize the drive correctly, and the embedded website doesn't work. The page loads, complains that you don't have flash player or javascript enabled, and after you allow blocked content (javascript) it just goes to a blank black page with no content. Lucasarts has not yet responded to the many forum posts and emails they've recieved about this issue. If you bought the CE on the first day at midnight, you were disappointed when you got home and found that your Pre-Order codes worked, but the CE codes did not. Lucasarts finally made them available around 9pm eastern, unless you kept trying the code throughout the day and got locked out until the next day. There is no Multi-Player unless you own the WII edition. All in all, if you want the game, wait for it to be cheap. And don't expect a third installment. The current Lucasarts President, Paul Meegan, cancelled it during production because he doesn't feel Lucasarts should outsource any more projects. He also has been letting go of Lucasarts programming staff either by firing them or by making them walk out, so don't expect any more quality lucasarts games for a while.

2Huge Dissappointment
By HJR8581
I buy Star Wars games for the story. Since no more movies will be made, video games have become one of the best ways for the Star Wars universe to continue. This game had better graphics and gameplay than the first did. But "thats all folks!". The story was non existant. Kotor 1 and 2 showed us that a great game could also have an amazing story. But you wont find it with this game. And after pressing the same attack button over and over you start to get bored quickly. Another thing is Darth Vader is a complete tool in this one. Im really starting to hate the guy. As we learn more about him, it starts to take away from the films. In my opinion he is a selfish murderer who does not deserve to redeem himself simply by throwing the Empreor over a balcony. Anyway dont buy...rent. Cause you will definetely beat this game, even on harderst difficulty, within a few hours. I will never buy another Force Unleashed game.

5Just right... Great Value... but you may need a cable...
By R. Sattler
I have an older Xbox 360 20Gb hard drive (HD) model and purchased this kit to upgrade the disk size. This is a GREAT value IMHO.While I don't need the headset nor ethernet cable, they will be used by others in my family. The bonus is the 3-Month Xbox Live Gold membership card included in this kit (a $19.99 value).Unfortunately, the kit does not come with the cable and software disk required to copy the information from my existing 20Gb HD to the new 60Gb HD.If you have a Xbox 360 with a 20Gb HD, Microsoft wants you to buy the 120Gb HD upgrade, which DOES come with a transfer cable. For me, it wasn't worth the extra $50 for the 120Gb HD (you can find it here at Amazon for $134.99). This kit is at the right price point for me and includes enough disk space for my needs. If you DO own an arcade version of the 360, you can get a 20Gb HD from MS for less money. I'd recommend this instead because you will find, as I did, if you intend to download many Arcade titles OR simply want to install more than ONE game to your hard drive, you need more than 20Gb IMHO. And you are going to want a Xbox Live Gold account, at least try it out for more than the 30 days you get when you first get the console. Again, my humble opinion.Fortunately, you can get this "Xbox 360 Data Migration Kit" in one of two ways;1) Find one on Ebay or Craigslist. Search for "Xbox 360 Data Migration Kit" and you will find many for sale. Expect to pay $20-$40. You may find it for less but there appears to be a number of folks wishing to corner the market on these things (I'm guessing for pure profit during the holidays). I paid $20 for mine found on craigslist. I intend to resell it on Ebay for at least what I paid for it (there were 12 sold this weekend on ebay alone with at least 26 others to bid on!).2) Get it for free from Microsoft! As the user above reported, you can call MS and ask for one, they will send you one. Or, you can go to xbox dot com, search for the xbox data migration kit as shown above, click on the "How to obtain the Xbox 360 Data Migration Kit" link. You'll have to click on a couple of links to get to the final page as Amazon won't let me include the actual links in this review...Go to the bottom of the page to "Related Links" and click on the "How to get your free Transfer Cable" link. Fill out the form and where it asks for the "new console serial number" write "on order". Mail it in and wait a few weeks. (update; I mailed the form on 11/21/08 and rec'd the kit on 12/11/08.)I didn't want to wait a few weeks, hence the craigslist purchase.I am perfectly happy with my 60Gb Starter Kit purchase. I copied the data from my old HD (took about an hour - it was FULL!), connected the new drive in place of the old one and everything works great. If you don't have an Xbox Live Gold account yet, this is an excellent way to "test drive" the service while giving your 360 an needed disk upgrade. Particularly if you plan to stream Netflix movies, install games to the hard drive (available now with the "New Xbox Experience" upgrade), rip more music to it, or just need more room to download Arcade titles.

5XBox 360 Starter Pack is a MUST
By James Thornberry
This is a great starter pack. If you were someone who purchased the XBOX360 Arcade, this is a great addition for the recreational gamer. The 60GB hard drive offers plenty of space to store saved game data, music, movies, pics, and anything else you feel like putting on it. The headset is just the standard XBOX360 headset which does work, but if you dont like the 90's Walkman design, then I would highly recommend buying the wireless one that XBOX has available. Now to the best part of the starter pack, XBox Live. XBox Live is the online domain that hundreds of thousands of XBox users are connected by. With XBox Live you can play games online with friends, send messages, chat via headset, or simply play online with random people. I recommend to any XBox customer to invest in XBox Live because it takes the gaming experience to a completely different level.

1Nice Hard Drive, but the X-Box Live Card expired June 2009
By Fun Boy73
I purchased this as I was still using the 20GB hard drive that came with my X-Box 360 when I bought it many years ago. I finally decided to upgrade to a slightly larger hard drive and I thought this package would be do the trick. I did not want/need the headphones or the Ethernet cable; but the hard drive and the three months of X-Box Live for around $60 looked good. When I got the product, I was able to snap the hard drive on top of my X-Box 360 and start playing...but when I looked at the card for the three months of X-box Live, it says the code must be redeemed by June 2009!!! I bought this in March 2012!I quickly contacted Amazon about the deceptive description as you can see from read the product description on this page, the three months of X-Box Live is listed as a major selling point for this product. While chatting with Amazon, I was hoping they would be able to make this right by crediting my account for the cost of three months of X-Box Live or a minimum credit my account $10 for my troubles. Nope, just a representative telling me that she will "note my concern in the product inventory" and that I could send the whole thing back, but there was some question on that as I had already opened it. As I said, I'm happy with the hard drive, just not with lied to about what I'm buying from Amazon.Buying products on-line is all about trust in the description of the product being accurate as you cannot actually look at the product so you are let as the mercy of the on-line seller. I have been an loyal buyer of Amazon products going back to when they only sold books and have never bought a product with such a deceptive description. I might have to return to buying from Brick and Mortar stores so I at least know what I'm buying.5/5 stars for the Hard Drive1/5 for a pre-expired X-Box Live Card.

5I am a farmer
By farcow
I live on a large dairy farm my self and I am a teenager. We have 1500 cows and 900 of them are milked 3 times a day. I deal with every day chores such as feeding the calves, and mostly field work. For those of you who were wondering the equipment does really cost that much in real life. In fact we happen to own some of the equipment in the game. This game is very realistic. I havnt found any bugs on my computer and ive played it alot. People when on auto will not use equipment because it is a decision making process. The help guide says they wont use equipment on auto. This game really simulates a farm well. You have to have accuarate timing when planting, spraying, cultivating, and tilling the land. We have 900 acers of corn and 800 acers of hay. It generally takes 2 weeks to harvest each. Our hay is so good we can get 4 harvests of hay a year. One thing I dont like about the game is you cant get stuck!! haha in real life you get stuck in the mud every so often especially when harvesting corn. I think improvements to the game should be getting stuck is working the field with high water content.I think that the game is very good and I love it. Haha but real farming isnt as fun so enjoy it! I would recommend this game to anyone who is looking for a fun challenge.

4A Farmer's life is neither glorious nor easy....
By T. Cooper
...and this game demonstrates that very well. More often than not, if you ask city-folk where their milk, meat, and produce come from the answer you'll hear is 'The store.' An answer that is far from the truth! This game provides an interesting look at farming life, the costs and work involved, and provides an opportiunity to see what goes on before our food hits the grocery store shelves. You can choose to play one of a number of scenarios (pre-designed farms with set goals) or choose 'free play' and design your own farm (the only goal being to operate a profit-making farm). You can grow grain crops (corn, wheat, soybeans, or sunflowers) or raise livestock (beef cattle, dairy cattle, or hogs). You can add buildings, purchase more land to expand your farm, and run a roadside vegetable/flower stand. Once you've got the money coming in, you can add leisure items - such as a barbeque, swiming pool, or trampoline - or such luxury items as a 100' statue of Paul Bunion or a solid gold tractor! Watch out, though, as there are many things that can go wrong: your animals can get sick, your crops could be invaded by pests, or everything could get blown away by a passing twister! And, there's always those pesky relatives who drop in unexpectedly when their lives get bad and they need a place to stay for a while. I'll be the first to admit that it's not an action-packed adventure (like so many other games on the market), but I believe that's because this game is based on a reality that - let's face it - can be quite monotonous. I think this game is best suited for kids, however adults (like my dad, who's a 'frustrated city farmer') should enjoy it too. It's educational without going into great detail (i.e. it doesn't address what happens after you sell those animials that are fattened up for market), but there's enough realism to keep it from being too 'sugar coated.'

5Some flaws, but a classic
By Hugh
I'm not a farmer by profession, though possibly one day owning a farm has always interested me. When I first saw this title I was a bit skeptical that a 'farming' game could actually work as entertainment, but all in all John Deere: American Farmer does a fine job of providing an enjoyable and interesting simulation of farming. So what do you get? Well you get some prepackaged scenario's dealing with goals ranging from having to harvest nearly 2,000 acres in one year to situations where you must turn around a farm heavily in debt. You get a free build mode and also a map editor and scenario maker. All the scenario's are fun and interesting to get to grips with. You begin to learn what kinds of crops grow best in which type of soil and moisture level, you can also choose the type of seed that you use, do you go for the budget brand or do you go for the genetically modified varieties manufactured by Pioneer. Its always a balance between the cost of planting and the associated cost of crop dusting with pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers that determine ultimately your profit margin. The same applies for animal husbandry, you can raise hogs, beef cattle or create a dairy, whichever you choose you must monitor the market price levels and try to buy cheap and sell during high price spikes. Concerning the crops you can store your harvests in silage for the time when you can sell at the highest possible price. This sounds easy, but in practice it isn't; frequently to expand the farm you must borrow money to buy land and equipment and hire more staff, which means that sometimes you have to sell your produce for lower prices to maintain your commitments. Thus any expansion you do must be carefully planned out so that you can get out of debt. The vehicles available are all John Deere, and whilst I don't mind that, one of the problems is that you cannot buy used vehicles or even rent them. Considering a new heavy duty tractor is in excess of $200,000 this makes expansion of farms of this size much more problematic where new equipment is rarely purchased. I feel the game should have given more choice in this regard. The other element which is lacking concerning the vehicles and the economic model in the game is that you can run a combine for 30 years and it never costs you anything in maintanence. Likewise one aspect of farming is the cost of diesel, in the game you never pay these costs, which in reality alternate with the market. It would have been interesting had the developers added this feature. As was said earlier your family memebers can come and live with you on the farm and work for free. It is possible to keep them on the farm indefinately provided that you can rotate their jobs and give them rest breaks and good living conditions with some leisure structures. Usually a mix of 75% family and 25% hired employees can run a farm remarkably well. The graphics are quite good and are from a 'birds eye' perspective of the farm, the crops are illustrated ripening, the livestock gets bigger as time goes on, you seen the rain and darkness on cloudy days and brightness on sunny ones as well as twisters and thunder and lightning. The weather is also well modelled and shows how much the farmer is truly reliant on good weather for high yields, the game models droughts which can vary in length, and this of course can ruin all your crops. My final critical note is that the characters in the game could have been made more interesting. The game models them all as kind of dumb hillbilly sterotypes from the southern states. Considering the game is set in three geographic locations (The Lake States, The Great Plains and the Corn Belt) this is a bit stupid and gets boring.Bottom line is this is great game, which is highly original. Clearly if you only like action packed games it may not be for you, but if you like strategy, including war games then this is for you. I hope they make a sequel

5BUY NOW!
By G
Should of done this to help the people and the seller/product out long ago.1. It Works!I bought a slim a couple years ago, didn't want to buy a huge hard drive because they were expensive. I googled if I could use the original Xbox 360 20Gig HD and somehow fit it to the slim. Answer popped up in 10 secs; remove the casing then slowly and perfectly fit it in the big slot in the slim. Was told to use electrical tape so that it wouldn't move around...it worked a few times then stopped. That kept happening so I just removed it and played without a Hard drive for about a year, until this gem found its way to my Amazon.com screen.Decided to buy it and try it. I placed the Hard Drive in the case and just snapped it together, I then slid it in the slim and abrakadabra it works perfectly. It fits perfectly which is probably the reason why it wasn't working all the time before. Some people may not need a case, but I like how mine is in a case just like the $99 hard drives out there, and I can pull it out anytime for whatever reason.PEACE!

4Great, but RSV1 was a classic
By Alex Adams
I think most people would agree the first game was the better of the two. That being said, I don't agree with many people saying the game is bad or not that great. This is a really good game. Someone below had said it was short..... They must be used to playing oblivion or something because this game was longer than the first. I was glad to be done with it by the time the end came around. The graphics are really nice. They are like an updated version of the first game. There's a few bugs that drove me nuts such as an enemy shooting through a wall that's supposed to be cover. Glitch. This game features shooting through cover such as wood or plastic, but i'm speaking of actual walls. You can see their rifle sticking out of it. Another annoyance is the fact that you can die if someone shoots your hands alot. I understand that you can do that to your enemy, but still. The game only crashed on me once. I closed to desktop, restarted the game and was fine. The new patch seemed to work fine for me.As for the setting, I thought the levels were very nicely laid out. Yes the casinos in the first one were really cool and fun, but there's alot more to vegas than just that. The story was revolving around catching someone, not just fighting your way through things.Gameplay is the same. There's a whole experience/level up scheme to this game that can be a little cheap with the weapons. There should've at least been the same weapons available as in the first game. You end up having to level up and use certain strategies to get the items you want. It's annoying, but I thought it was cool leveling up. In this game you tend to get hurt alot more than the first one on normal difficulty. Even with the heaviest gear on I found I was dying alot more. There's even a level where you're by yourself! It's neat because you can be more stealthy. Most of the time in both games you'll pass an invisible tripwire on the map and enemies start pouring from everywhere despite how quiet you were being. In this level, you can avoid alot of fighting simply by sneaking around and pulling out your trusty silenced pistol. The end fight is about as obnoxious as the first game except if you die, you have to go through a cutscene over and over and over. The story is good. I liked it. The main twist isn't much of a shocker, but hey, it's tom clancy. I was disappointed in some of the new voices for the same characters though. Logan's voice is different which just threw me off because whoever did his voice in the first game was fantastic and unique. This time it's just some american without an accent. I'm pretty sure Mike's (the heavy gunner on your team) voice is different too. Jung and Gabe is still the same. All in all I liked the game. It dragged on a little towards the end, but I enjoyed it almost all the time. I'm glad I waited for the price to drop. Amazon is selling now for 20 bucks which is definitely a good buy in my opinion. Pick this one up. It's worth the play.

5Excellent single player campaign
By James Lin
I've been a big fan of modern combat games like those in the Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, and Brothers in Arms series. It wasn't until recently that I picked up Rainbow Six Vegas 2 when it was on sale on Steam, and I'm very glad that I did.RSV2 is primarily an FPS game, but you get to control a small team of two other specialists as you comb through industrial and commercial complexes looking for bad guys to shoot. Your team will follow your orders to move to a position, throw grenades, stack up on a door, etc. allowing you to coordinate and time your attacks on enemy positions. The tactical aspect of the game is especially apparent when you have to clear rooms. You can scope out a room using a snake cam and tag two enemies for your squadmates to target first. After commanding your team to stack up on a door, you can tell them to breach with C4, throw grenades first, or just open the door and start shooting. I found myself replaying sections of the game to see how successfully I could coordinate the assaults. The rooms are designed so you usually have a choice of doors, windows or skylights to use as entry points. The single player campaign took me about 8 hours to finish, which is a little short, but I thought it was one of the more satisfying FPS games that I've played in a while. There's also a Terrorist Hunt game mode that's basically just stand-alone levels where you're timed in how quickly you can kill all of the bad guys. They give you a pretty big selection of levels, adding tons of replay value to the game.I'm thinking of going back and playing through the first RS Vegas game, which many people deem the better of the two. As far as I know, you don't need to play the first Vegas in order to enjoy Vegas II. If you liked other modern combat shooters like Modern Warfare or Medal of Honor, but wished for less twitchy and more open-ended gameplay, I high recommend checking out Rainbow Six Vegas 2.

3Screams unfinished.
By Jeremy Dorando
I really wanted to like this game. I was really hoping this was going to be a more polished version of Vegas 1. Instead the game seems to have started that way but was pushed out the door long before completion. The story mode seems to feature more attention to detail than the rest of the game. Multi-player story mode is fairly nice as far as the maps and the gameplay. I really wish they had not trimmed it down to just 2 players in that mode. The AI teammates controlled by player 1, are not incredibly useful other than to act as cannon fodder, luring out bots that have phenomenal accuracy and psychic tracking abilities. The overall storyline is quite forgettable IMHO.Other gametypes are hindered. Terrorist Hunt has numerous issues. The way the bots 'spawn' in is downright hideous at times. Features have been taken from the control of the player such as the number of respawns. There are countless bugs in the game some major, and many minor. They scream "unfinished" or "hastily slapped together" and it is my belief that this game was released before it was completed. These hinder what would otherwise be a very fun installment of Vegas.

5Just as described and works great
By John R. Duewer
I was really skeptical that a non-Microsoft product would work properly, but this one does the trick. For those of us with original Xboxes, this is a god send given the large amount of downloadable content available. In many cases, this drive is even faster than the originals sold by Microsoft. Just make sure you have an authentic Microsoft Xbox transfer cable and disc handy if you're upgrading your old drive.Pros: Inexpensive, Large Capacity, works out of the box, fast, quiet.Cons: No Microsoft warrantyHighly recommended!
