2It's all very nice, but only worth half the price.
By Lochfynne
To all those that did not buy the expansion and suggested that it might not be worth $30, you were correct. I paid full price for the "expansion", but it is more like half an expansion or an expansion lite. There are a few quests, traits and a good bit of stuff. If you are a long time Sims player it is more like what all those Sims 2 and 3 Stuff Packs should have been. What more can I say? It adds some nice things to the game and a few more quests, but I would suggest waiting until it sells for less. It is way over priced.

3Speaking as a Sims Medieval fan...
By Kristen Bernadine
I am probably one of the few fans of the Sims franchise that actually likes The Sims Medieval over The Sims 3. That being said, when I found out that there was going to be an expansion pack for it - I was excited. So I pre-ordered it and paid for one day delivery (even though I've been burned before by the Sims, with Generations...in the long run, that wasn't worth the 40 or 50 bucks I paid for,) thinking 'Oh, this will be different than all the others.'It actually came to my house a day before the release date. And so I installed it, and started playing it.I agree with the notion that perhaps you should wait for the price to drop, because this 'adventure pack' doesn't have all that much to pack. There are a few more outfits, which are pretty cool looking, and now one has the option of furnishing the heroes' houses from scratch (which, personally, I find annoying because it takes so long to do.) And as to the new traits - while being listed under 'Traits,' they seem to me more like Fatal Flaws (particularly the 'entitled' trait.)But there were two things I was very disappointed in:1) There are no new Pirate or Noble professions. From the trailer, I thought that in addition to being a monarch, knight, priest, doctor, spy, knight, merchant, bard, blacksmith, or wizard, you can be a pirate or a nobleman/woman. I thought it would have been a good addition, because the pirate profession could have been like the merchant, but less...diplomatic? And as to the noble - frankly, I just wanted a 'profession' where my monarch could marry, and not marry say...Felix the Rat Catcher. But no, the 'Pirates and Nobles' part of it all mostly stems from new clothing and decorations.2) There is only one ambition, and only a handful of quests (that pertain to the ambition.) Once you completed that, then it's just the same game...only with pirate and noble related things. But all in all, it's OK. Just OK.

4I think it's fun....
By Scott Tinsley
I pre-ordered the digital copy of this game and so far I think it is a lot of fun. The quests are entertaining and it seems that the quests are longer and more in depth. I loooove the clothes and make-up that they have added, and the fact that there are new achievements, many which make me laugh (make love not war and pirate polygamy just to name two). I look foward to unlocking more clothes and items by fulfilling the new achievements. The only thing I am not thrilled about is the birds. Your Sim cannot socialize with other Sims if they are messing around with their birds which make make quests a little annoying if the objective is to speak to that particular Sim. I also wish that it had come with 2 premade throne rooms, one with pirate stuff, and the other with the noble stuff. All in all, I am glad I have the game and look foward to the next expansion they put out. Hopefully it will come with some new throne rooms, more quests, and maybe a couple of different layouts of the kingdom.
