By MK
The biggest strength of this "big" stuff pack is its creativity. Every item is fun, whimsical and made me want to go eat a cupcake. That being said, those strengths are also weaknesses. Most of the furniture would feel appropriate in a kid's room. I wouldn't put it in an adult room. Of course, that depends on how you decorate your Sims' houses, but most of this furniture I would not use for any Sim over the teen stage. It's cute and creative, but that's about it.As for the items you get - there is no new town (shocker, I know). You only get three new venues, and each is based upon a different candy. The pool is peppermint themed, the new hangout is cake themed, and the new park is bonbon themed. I didn't go into depth exploring them, but they're functional if you don't mind the candy coating. A lot of the stuff is outdoor equipment, particularly lawn ornaments. There's a bedroom set (not a double bed though, just a single), a new couch and loveseat (which don't really match; they're separate pieces), some lights, mirrors and decorations. A lot of the stuff is actually pretty functional if you dye it a different color. As in you could de-Katy Perry it. Except for the banana split couch; there's no way to make that one look ordinary. In create-a-sim mode, don't go looking for anything special for guys. They get a new shirt and a new pair of pants. That's about it. Girls on the other hand get some new funky outfits. Some of them are cute, others are downright strange. A bikini top with cupcakes on the boobs? Or peppermints. Take your pick. There are several new hairstyles too - all of which are "up" styles and look kind of strange. None of the new clothes are for children, which is something I found strange. Kids love candy. I would totally have kid Sims wear candy clothes. There are no new traits that I saw, or foods to choose from in the favorite food section. All things considered, this is probably one of, if not, THE most, creative stuff packs we've seen. While most of it is kind of silly and juvenile, you can work with some items to make functional. If you like crazy decor and eccentric clothing, this is definitely for you! If you prefer realistic items and styles for your Sims, I wouldn't bother with this one. But is it worth paying an extra ten bucks to get the same amount of stuff? I don't think so.

By Sally M. Johnson
First off I like Katy Perry. I'm not in love with her but I also don't hate her. I'm kind of indifferent. As for the stuff pack it is AWFUL! I got it expecting not to like everything in it but I have every other Sims 3 product so from a collection standpoint I purchased it. Everything in it is a candy theme which wouldn't be bad if you could customize them to include a plain style also. This is not so. You can change the background color on most of the items but that is it. It also includes some of the worst hair I have ever seen EA produce. If I did want to create some fantasy candy coated family I can't even do that because the styles are for adults only and the men get a really short end of the stick. The theme also only applies in furniture to what amounts to a child's bedroom and nothing more. You get some kid themed things but no kid themed outfits or hair. The girl scout uniform is only for adult females. This was the most disspointing because when I think of girl scouts I certainly don't think of adult whores in little girl clothes. I would be all for this expansion if it stuck to it's child like roots instead of going for porn fantasy. Seriously the worst purchase ever!

By Kitty
I love the whole idea of a sweet theme, I just love cute things like that. Though all this stuff should of been in the Katy Perry version of Showtime, the clothing is well, I just don't see my sims really wearing it. I mostly bought for the non-clothing items but I was playing around with my sims and having them try on the clothing, I was just not impressed with the clothing part. Also the price is insane for a stuff pack, but of course they will charge that much just because of Katy Perry's name. I was lucky when I found out Target had it on sale for $18.If you want to buy this, just wait for the price to go down. It's not really worth the full price.
