Yes, the game requires Games for Windows Live, being that it was published and payed for by Microsoft Studios. If that requirement is a deal breaker for you to not play a great game, then you should probably pass this one up.Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is a fantastic, critically acclaimed 2D action exploration puzzler shooter that was originally released for the Xbox arcade. Like most Games for Windows Live games that were originally designed for the Xbox, it plays best with an Xbox controller.This game is gorgeous, atmospheric, and just an enjoyable adventure. If you enjoy occasional twitch arcade action and puzzle solving within a mysterious world, this is a good choice. Gamespot gave this game a 7.5/10. IGN gave it an 8/10. And as is generally the case with great games, user review scores generally rate equal or higher, scoring a 7.6 critic review on metacritic and a 7.9 user score.If you've watched a gameplay video or two of this game and it interests you, I recommend picking it up.

You might be looking at the MS 5 pack wondering if it is worth it....yep.This game is great, easily worth over $5 in my now skewed ultra value PC sense (having $20 of fun with it in another words).You gain explore and gain abilities after beating bosses which in turn open new areas previously inaccessable. You can revisit any part of the large interconnected map (think medroid-vania style). In addition there are hidden/off the normal path powerups to your weapons / abilities.It uses the dual-stick control method if you are using a controller (highly recommended)....like Geometry Wars or Super Stardust HD, but slower paced. You can switch abilities you've gained at any time, with 4 being allocated to hot-buttons on a controller.I am about 50% done with this but wanted to get a review up to anyone still on the fence...the 5 game MS pack is so worth it.

This game requires use of Games for Windows Live in addition to Steam. Being out a couple dollars on a game I won't be playing is my own fault, since I should have checked before buying it, but now you don't have to.
