1Doesn't work with Vista!
By dizzy7
I recently purchased an Xbox AR direct from Datel. The software installed with no problem, but I couldn't get the program to recognize the memory card included with the product and therefore had no way to transfer saves from my computer to the memory card. Saves must be added to the memory card before they can be transferred to the Xbox hard drive, so the product is useless to me. I contacted Datel and found that Xbox AR is NOT compatible with Vista, so don't make the same mistake I did and buy one if you have Vista. When their description states that AR requires "Windows 98 or higher" they apparently mean Windows 98, but no higher than Windows XP.

5Need windows XP or lower to use!!
By Doug B.
This is only compatible with Windows XP and lower... I figured out that you can use the Virtual Windows XP Mode in Windows 7 to do all the Datel Action Replay stuff! Saved my butt... and money!

5Great for softmodding.
By Bin
Made the process simple and relatively painless. Plug it into the usb port of your computer, load the appropriate saves for the game you are using, then plug it into your controller. Easy-peasy.

4Great puzzles, awkward platforming
By N. Brush
This is a great, although short, puzzle platformer. The puzzles grow in challenge well, but the ending is rather abrupt. This game is definitely worth playing if you enjoy games like Braid or Portal.

5A game that actually challenges you!
By vbikchurina
It's funny that everyone keeps on beating up on this game because it's not like Portal....BECAUSE it's not PORTAL! Yes, jumping needs some tweaking but the fact that you actually have to use your brain in this game is AMAZING! And yes, this game had Kim Swift behind it but don't forget the rest of Airtight Games team!!! So don't prejudge this game because it was made by Kim Swift or some similarities of Portal, for $15 dollars this a great buy for yourself and your kiddies!

4Another fine physics game from the Portal designer
By Jonathan B. Speck
This is not a game that will make you care about the characters, or expose you to deep philosophical arguments, or even require a moral debate about killing... well, anything. This game is all about problem solving using the mechanics. That may sound boring, but after you pick up a safe, huck it towards a gap, jump on it, then alter dimensions so that you, and it, sail across the gap, you will probably have the same silly grin that I did. There are some bugs still in the game, so you might find yourself having to restart from a checkpoint, or in one case, after my PS3 rebooted, from the last save point. Thankfully, the game autosaves after each puzzle, and checkpoints are often after tough sections of each puzzle. It will be neat to see if they come out with a full game, and if they do, I will be buying it!

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction CE

Product Description

Splinter Cell: Conviction introduces a number of new gameplay features to the series. One of which is the "Mark and Execute" feature, which allows the player to mark specific targets, such as enemies or objects, and shoot them when they burst through a door or window. The player can choose to prioritize these targets, so that, for example, he could distract one guard by shooting out a light in his vicinity and then take out another guard. Another new feature is the "Last Known Position", which occurs when the player breaks the line of sight of an alerted guard. This creates a visual silhouette of where the guard thinks Sam is, allowing the player to strategically flank his enemies. Main target subjects can use the player's abilities against them. The player can be taken hostage by the subject. If this happens in co-op mode, the hostage's partner can neutralize the subject by any means necessary, possibly even by lethal means.

Other new features include the ability to interrogate characters in real-time and use objects in the surrounding environment against them. A crowd mechanic has been introduced, allowing Sam to vanish within a crowd if under pursuit. The environment is also used to project mission objectives and key plot points onto walls in order to keep the player immersed in the gameplay during the narrative.

Splinter Cell: Conviction takes place roughly two years after the events of Splinter Cell: Double Agent. Sam Fisher has gone rogue from Third Echelon after discovering that the death of his daughter, Sarah, was not an accident. However, Third Echelon, now overly bureaucratic and bound in red tape, is in pursuit of Sam. Sam must use all the help he can get, including former Third Echelon colleague Anna Grimsd tt r, and Sam's friend, Victor Coste, in order to discover the truth behind the death of his daughter. Sam begins with going after his daughter's killer, but he finds himself trying t

4Little bit different Splinter Cell, but still a nice game!
By Laercio Silva Jr.
SC Conviction is a nice game, the graphics are terrific, the playability is different from any predecessor Splinter Cell games. You spend more time on combat than stealth mode, that no was a problem for me because I like the both styles.I didn't play the multiplayer because nobody on my list has the game yet, So I can't talk about it.My sad part, is that I already have the $69.99 price on CE since I put my pre-order on last Black Friday, so the Ubisoft discount was not a big deal for me.My USB unfortunately arrived defective, if you want get that game, just go for the standard version, I think the additional content will be open for everybody at [...].Standard Version is the best choice! The game still sweet, is very well designed, the Sam is a bad guy and I like it, I hope the multiplayer will be good, if you will buy only for single player, you will fell your money a little bit worthless, because the campaign is very short, so is better you wait price drops.Sorry my English, I Live in Brazil :)

4Great for haters and lovers of Splinter Cell
By M. Keegan
Conviction is a great title. The gameplay does a great job of balancing the ability to take things more combat focused. It will still rampant things up more but it won't be instantly game over (minus one area) but the inclusion of mark and execute forces you at times to want to stay stealthy. Mark and Execute is like targeting enemies in Rainbow Six: Vegas but in this case you pull the moves off which makes for a fast paced Jason Bourne still cinematic as you do it. It looks incredibly cool. TO get mark and execute you have to take out enemies secretly.Beyond that, the graphics are good and the soundtrack does a great job of pumping up certain moments. The game though is a bit short but the story is pretty cool and the narrative is well spoken with great voice overs. Now the single player game is short but there is other modes as well and co-op is a great addition that allows you to tackle a whole different story without Sam Fisher. You will both have to work together to sneak around and do the same as you do in the single player game (of course with different objectives). As you progress you will gain, points as you take out enemies in certain ways and by doing other things. This allows you to upgrade many of the available weapons, special gadgets, and even your costumes (used in certain modes). It is a great game. I have had issues with co-op at times but you can end with a good connection. Its that when you disconnect, you lose all your progress from the checkpoint so will have to start over.Fans of Splinter Cell games should enjoy this games and people who don't like Splinter Cell should find this game a welcome change for the series. It does little nice things by displaying the objective within the environment, has a new ability to use a shadow image of yourself that signals where the enemy has last seen you against themselves, and there is a cool little interrogation you can do in the game. I recommend this game.

5Amazing game... good Splinter Cell
By S. Sigle
It's finally here, a new Splinter Cell, or is it? This new game has some of the same names and faces, and even design choices of previous games, but seems to not fit the old style as much as it used to, but that's okay in many ways. While this new Splinter Cell is not quite like others, it's still good. As for the game itself, it is amazing, the gameplay is rich and fun, story interesting yet not overdone.Needless to say, while the game by itself is amazing, it doesn't feel exactly like Splinter Cell, but in many ways that's okay, while this game could have been a remake of the Bourne game, it still plays well and is fun, and if you ever like stealth action at all, this is a must pick up for anyone.

4good graphics/gameplay, yet some features missing.
By N. baban
Well I tried the game(torrent), and the following things are missing from previous 18 wos games.1.no more gas stations2.no police3.no sleepieness4.no dealerships5.no repair shops6.can not hire drivers7.don't have the freedom to go to which company hq you want to take loads from8.money system doesn't exist in this game, it's now a points reward9.your truck is different for every delivery(you don't own a truck).and to conclude this review, it's just redundant gameplay. YAY!In the game you are givin a job, you have to choose which is best for you based on your skills. You can choose a job with alot of points reward but the difficulty and distance of range will be hard.In the world map there is north america (canada), south america, and my favorite austraila. There will be expansion maps just like Euro truck simulator.Overall it is a good game, great graphics,NOT SURE IF YOU SHOULD BUY it but rather download it and show SCS that gamers matter not money, I guess I had my hopes up a little too high after waiting 2 years. I just wish it was like 18 wos ALH with those great graphics.

4Good
By M. Harris
This is a decent game. But not as good as the sequel to this game, Extreme Trucker 2. But before we get to that, let's talk about this one. Driving is realistic. But the turning radius of the trucks is poor, and not much different than older games. But the graphics are much better, as well as the weather. But this game is a different type. It is not a serious simulator, it is an arcade-style game. But there is nothing wrong with that, except for the fact that the player can get tired of it quickly, with only three environments included. But they are very detailed and realistic, and amazing. This was a good approach, being the first of its kind. But it needs improvement. The maps need extension, and the physics system needs repairs. If you drive too fast over ice, the front end of your truck will lift up high in the air, which is very unrealistic. But the trucks are much more realistic than in older games. they finally look real, inside and outside. In Extreme Trucker 2, the game I mentioned above that is an update to this one, is so much better. There are no wierd physics, in fact the physics system is really realistic. The maps were extended, and two new places, Bangladesh and Montana, were added. Also, both games have the same system requirements. So they work very well on most computers, including average ones. But beware, this takes a better system than previous games, but the requirements are not crazy. So I do suggest that people buy Extreme Trucker 2, but this is not a bad game, but one that has room for a LOT of improvement. And four stars is an accurate rating for this, with no generosity at all.

4Arcadey, but in a good way
By Mark Lahren
It's been years since I've bought or played an 18 Wheels of Steel sim, so I grabbed this one, not expecting much. And in terms of gameplay, from what I remember of the old games, this one has been dumbed down a bit for the average joe. So, if you like a lot of detail to your game, you might be disappointed. However, I'm not an actual truck driver. I'm actually just an average guy, and I suspect that I'm the guy they were aiming this at, because I actually like it. It's not perfect, but it is fun to drive the missions.Graphics are really quite good as far as budget titles go these days. In fact, considering that it comes on a single CD rom, I think the graphics are quite excellent when you turn all the graphical options to high. I've got Anti-aliasing set all the way to 8X, and Anisotropic Filtering all the way up, resolution set to 1920 x 1200 (I was surprised the game actually supported that high of a resolution), and everything else set as high as it would go. And I'm getting nice, silky-smooth framerates, and the gameworld looks quite detailed, and much better than I was expecting. Online gameplay videos can't do it justice. (my rig: Windows Vista, Intel Core2 Quad 6600 2.4 ghz, nVidia 9800GT/512, and a lot more ram than is needed for this game). The box recommends a 2.2 ghz processor, 1 gig of ram (2 gigs for Vista), 1 gig HD space, and a 256 meg video card. But I'm guessing you could easily get by with a slower system, as this is not a state-of-the-art graphics engine. I mean, it looks very nice, but it is relatively simple when compared to cutting-edge shooter games. They've managed to coax a lot of nice effects out of it, such as blowing snow and beautiful skies. There are a variety of different views: The one I mostly use is the in-cabin view, to make it feel like I'm really in the truck and driving it. However, you can switch anytime to an external viewpoint and pan around the truck to make situational awareness easier. The mirrors are also fully functional, as are your horn, turn signals, dashboard gauges and headlights (off/dim/bright).Controls work very well, and are remappable to different keys for the most part. My only gripe is that there is no Reverse Y-axis (mouse up/down) option, so I'm constantly moving the mouse down when I want to look up. But for most people this won't be an issue. I cut my PC gaming teeth on flight sims however, so my old joystick habits cause me to pull back on the mouse to look up. You can also choose whether you want automatic or manual transmissions.Anyway, this is a pretty good trucking game. It looks nice, runs smooth, controls easily, and is easy to pick up and play. Hardcore simmers should probably do more research, however, as this is NOT a hardcore trucking sim. It's more of a simple sim. Also, no CD is required in the drive, so you can just install it, and file the disk away.

5From an Xbox owner
By Danial Vereb
Okay, the hardest part of any review to me is an introduction. I am primarily an Xbox 360 owner, and that is what I use for most online games such as Battlefield or Call of Duty. However, I can now confidently say that spending $300 for a PS3 is worth it just for the sake of the Uncharted series alone. I would literally throw down that kind of money just for these three games, something I have not done since the original Xbox when Halo came out. I played the first two games on my buddies PS3 a few years back, but only recently decided to claim actual ownership over a PS3 system with the purchase of this bundle. I like the system, its controller feels great, feels reliable (basically it doesn't feel cheap). I like the fact that the system is silent when playing games, I also like that the online is free (but I feel Xbox Live is more organized, and yes I'll admit, there is a bias to my statement, sorry guys).I'm going to go ahead and close this review, making it a short one. Why? Because I feel I summed up that I obviously like the system and the Uncharted series. I also feel that there are already plenty of reviews that go into explicit detail over the system, online, Blu-Ray and games. If you don't own a PS3, but want to jump into the PlayStation community, while experiencing a great game series such as Uncharted, buy this bundle. Playing Uncharted has done something to me that no other game has done since Halo ten years prior or Shenmue for the Dreamcast twelve years prior, and that is spend hundreds of dollars to play one game. That comment alone I believe sums up this review and any review from any individual or game site. Uncharted is the PlayStation's Halo - its "killer app", and to me, worth spending the money to experience.

5If you haven't bought a PS3 yet, this is the bundle to get.
By Dogsport
It took a deployment to Afghanistan to finally break down and purchase a PS3, but I'm glad I finally made the decision. The 320GB Uncharted 3 bundle is perfect for the adventure/action game types that really aren't interested in the Move bundle. I already have the Kinect for the 360 back home, and while neat, I found it to be a bit of a gimmick. Add in that space is a premium out here, I felt that the Move was an unnecessary premium.I owned the original PS3 a few years back and I have to say that the fit and finish of the lighter slim doesn't seem as nice as the original (IE, satin black versus the nicer looking Piano Black) but I wouldn't go so far as to call it cheap. It seems this time around, it's just the basics, but you have to ask yourself: How often are you staring at your gaming console anyway?I probably don't have to tell you that the graphics are on par with the 360. I haven't had the two side by side, but nothing has been so significantly better to stand out from what you'd expect from the competing console. Really these days, with an exception of a few rare exclusive games, your decision is probably more on what controller you're more comfortable with.Speaking of controllers, the tried and true wireless Playstation controller is still mostly unchanged and feels like it could still take the beatings that most controllers do.But that's enough about the console.Uncharted 3 is probably one of the most enjoyable bundled games I've played since the days when Sonic 2 and Super Mario World were the standard issue. The controls are easy to pick up, the storyline is intriguing, action packed, and character development is quite good. I hadn't played the first two games, but with the plot of the number 3 installment being pretty self contained, I was able to step right in without feeling lost in the events. I likened the game to Indiana Jones or The Mummy, set in modern times. You follow the footsteps of Nathan Drake and his friends as they search for lost treasure by puzzle solving, fist fighting, and shooting their way across the globe. Throughout the game, you wonder if he also moonlights as a parkour champion, as you spend a good deal of your time climbing and making death defying leaps over obstacles in your way. The game's pace is very good at going from highs and lows, and not staying in either for too long. You may find yourself solving one of the game's many puzzles only the next to end up in an epic shoot out as you try to escape a burning building. I will say that the game is not for the faint of heart. Even on normal, you may find yourself dying... a lot. There are just certain ways to do some things and the game doesn't always reward brute force. Despite this, the single player campaign gets a 5 out of 5 in my book.Multiplayer, for a tack on feature is actually pretty fun. I haven't tried any of the online features yet, but the split screen offers co-op modes of a separate story line, as well as deathmatch-like scenarios such as capture the flag, base defense, and survival. It's no Halo or Modern Warfare, but I'd give the multiplayer a high 3 out of 5.So in conclusion, if you have been on the fence about the PS3, love adventure/action games, and not really interested in gimmicks like the Move, this is definitely the bundle for you.

5Getting Uncharted 3 for free when buying the PS3 320GB
By John M. Keller
I'm breaking down this review in 3 catagories which are the saving cost of buying the bundle, The PS3 System itself, and the UNCHARTED 3 game.1. Savings as far as buying as a bundle:This is actually a really good deal for 2 reasons. One, the PS3 320GB system normally cost anywhere new between $290 and $300 dollars by itself which means your getting Uncharted 3 (As of this writing the retail is between between $50 and $60 dollars) for free. Second, is with the cost of Hard drives having doubled and in some cases almost tripled due to the current hard drive shortage the hard drive alone is worth anywhere between $150 to $200 dollars by itself. the overall cost savings on both items mentioned more than justifies this purchase.2. The PS3 Game Console System:This is actually our family's second PS3, the 1st one my son got an almost pristine PS3 1st Generation 60gb CECHAxx Launch model (November 2006) from his 2 best friends as a Christmas Present, not realizing at the time what a diamond in the rough he was receiving. I'm not going to lie to you, If anybody still owns one of this original launch models and it still works, KEEP IT! They are vastly superior to these newer "Slim" Models that Sony is now selling. The reason for the additional purchase is Problems started to arise with "play time" on the PS3 with my son so I decided to go ahead and purchase one for myself and the rest of the family. With that being said, I will move on with the review of this 320GB 4th generation PS3 Slim Model (CECH-30xxB series). The Hardware on the inside is the same reliable PS3 Hardware Sony has sold since almost after the launch of the original PS3 in North America (Once they fixed the Blu-Ray defect). Starts right up, plays my PS3 Games perfectly, works with my blu-rays, and works perfectly with my home Network. The Dual Shock 3 wireless Controller that comes with it works awesome and is easy to use. The HDMI and Sound are also equally awesome (Has to be plugged into a "amplifier/receiver" to tap into the Dolby Digital sound experience). As far as the drawbacks go there really is only 1 that stares you right in the face and that is the New "Slim" Design, It's God Awful. The Best way to describe is as my oldest son put it; "Dad, That looks Ghetto!"; However, due to its size it was easily hidden inside my entertainment center and barely noticeable to the naked eye. The only other minor problem is sometimes you can hear the hard drive on the PS3 when it's being written to and read to.Features of the PS3 4th Generation Console:* 802.11b/g Wi-Fi* 2 X USB 2.0 ports* BRAVIA Sync XMB control (CEC)* Slimmer form factor* Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio bitstreaming (available Through Optical Sound Cord with an open optical port on your Home Theaters "Amplifier/Receiver")* 320GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive (Upgradeable up to 1TB 9.5mm form factor laptop hard drives)* 3D Capable for both 3D Blu-Ray Games and Movies (You muat have a 3D capable monitor or TV in order for this to work)* Plays normal CD and DVD movie or Music ROMS* 10/100/1000 built-in NIC* Playstation 1 (PS1) Backward Compatibility. Updated 11-13-2012: Just FYI the AMAZON Description of the this PS3 Slim Bundle is WRONG concerning NO Backward compatibility for the PS1, I just tested Duke Nukem: A Time to Kill for the PS1 just recently (about 2 weeks ago)and it worked like a champ.* 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p Resolution (Up to 1080p with HDMI cord and 1080p monitor/TV, 480i with RCA plugs only)* Reduced Heat OutputFeatures Removed/No Longer available on this generation PS3 console that was available in previous PS3 Generation Models:* 4 USB 2.0 ports* SACD playback* Linux support* Flash memory card readers* Playstation 2 (PS2) Backward CompatibilityAccessories that comes in the Box with the PS3 Game System:* Dual Shock 3 Wireless Controller (1)* USB Recharge Cord for Dual Shock 3 Controller (1)* AC Cord (1)* Modified PS3 RCA plugs (1)* Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception (1) - Only comes with the Uncharted 3 PS3 BundleRecommend additional Accessories at time of purchase:* Additional PlayStation 3 Dualshock 3 Wireless Controller (Black)* Eforcity HDMI Cable, 10 feet* Mediabridge - Toslink Cable - Optical Digital Audio Cable - 6ft (Only If planning to plug your PS3 into your Home Theatre Receiver Sound System)Another plus to this Game system is the feature rich applications that are available for use that come with the PS3 Standard like Netflix (monthly fee), Video & Picture Editing, Use of the PSN Network, and Internet browsing. Also Additional Accessories like the MOVE Package can be added to this system as well.3. The Uncharted 3 Game:For those who have played the previous Uncharted games you will not be disappointed, it bigger and badder than before. Nathan Drake and mentor Victor Sullivan are once again traveling around the world to such places as the Rub' al Khali desert, in search of the legendary lost city, the Iram of the Pillars. Elena Fisher and Chloe Frazer also return in Uncharted 3. The plot draws from the archaeology days of T. E. Lawrence.Several new features have been included in the game, including mechanics that create gameplay situations designed to assist the losing team, improves ability enhancements and augmentations that must be purchased for each use, special abilities that are made available when a certain amount of medals has been attained within a match, and "Uncharted TV", a small video window that appears throughout the multiplayer menus, creating a video that can be uploaded to Facebook, YouTube or the XMB. Multiplayer also includes a character creation system, allowing a user to extensively customise their in-game character. Co-operative multiplayer also returns from Uncharted 2.Other than that it's like most everybodys review of the game, graphics are aewsome, game play astounding, you will be playing for hours to play the game.4. In Conclusion: Wether you are buying a PS3 for the first time, adding a second one, want the game and would not hurt to have another PS3, or just replacing a no longer working PS3 this is the bundle to get. I would overall highly recommend picking up.

3Eh.

Eh. If you spend lots of time roaming around the country-side in place of using the fast travel system, this would probably be of some benefit to you. But honestly, if you're roaming around the world to begin with, I doubt you're much concerned with how quickly you're getting from place to place. At the end of the day, this is a feature I rarely use, and I would imagine the same is true for most casual players. If you have a burning desire to purchase a DLC for this game, consider the Season Pass. It has a bunch of content, and will add more overall to your playing experience.

1This product key is only activated and accessible with a company called Steam/Valve
By John_4_president
I recently puchased a game called Doom BFG with the company called Steam. This game wouldn't start and gave me alot of trouble. Steam doesn't give refunds and didn't like it because I oped a dispute with PayPal to get my money back. Steam on purpose freezed my account with them. I purchased this addon with Amazon and should be able to use it's key to download it on Steams website but Steam blocks it.
