4Good game but no real choices (and consequences)
By Lee
[Good]The story is great. The art style is great. As far as point and click adventures go, the gameplay is great. There's even action. This is one of the few games tied to either a movie or TV license that actually doesn't suck.[Bad]Lack of Real Choice: One of the big marketing items is that "Your Choices Affect the Game". Aside from a single major choice of deciding which character to save in the first episode, there aren't any player choices that actually affects the game beyond variations in dialog, even in the third episode. Your actions have no effect on the world. This is really disappointing. I would pay twice as much to get real choices that affect the game's world, that branches into a really different game, as opposed to yet another TV episode where you get a lot of fake choices that do nothing; either that or TellTale should stop marketing a feature that doesn't exist. My guess is that your choices will only have an effect on the ending, specifically it determines what kind of person a character grows up into. UPDATE: Choice has no effect on the ending. It has a bigger effect in episode 5, but it's still not as big of an effect as episode 1. The effects your in-game choices have are only "cosmetic". Again I would pay more for a game where choice actually affects the game world; don't advertise player choice and game consequences from them if the game will still be on rails and everything is already pre-destined. If Telltale doesn't have enough budget to actually make player choices matter, they should either make a new IP that they own so that they have more budget for choices affecting the world, or they should just focus on the gameplay instead. Not replayable: Since your choices have no effect on the game aside from from choosing which character lives and dies really early in the game, I don't feel that this game has a lot of replayability. It doesn't even have multiple endings. The difference in dialog doesn't really amount to much from the player's point of view.UPDATE: All of the negative points listed below are no longer relevant since all five episodes have been released.Compared to the PC, there are less Mac players, so finding a resolution to a problem is less likely on your own. You'll have to wait longer for TellTale to issue fixes.Episodic Release: Unless you wait for all 5 episodes to be released, you are paying for a game that isn't fully finished yet. I would wait. This leads to another issue. Currently 4 out of 5 episodes have been released.Buggy: There are some really bad bugs related to save games since (at this moment) the full 5 episodes haven't been released yet. With every new episode release it's apparent that either TellTale didn't fix anything, or that they like introducing new variations of the same problem. Do you like having to replay all the past episodes you've already played, over and over again after every new episode release? If not, I would wait until all 5 episodes have been released before either buying or playing this game. This really detracts from enjoying the game. This problem is what led me to discover the next two problems.UPDATE: Bugs are gone since all five episodes have been released.[Verdict]This is a good game that has a few annoying bugs. It's a good start, but I would pay more for a game with a world with real branching storylines based on my decisions. Right now this is just a game that pretends your decisions actually matter. You should wait until all 5 episodes are released before playing the game, so you won't experience the major bugs.UPDATE: All of the five episodes have been released, you should get this game.

1Incredibly buggy on Mac OS X
By J. Martinez
Telltale developers are not responding to user inquiries about this game. Do not buy. Waste of my time and money.

4Beware For Snow Leopard Only
By L. D'orlaque
I have the game on my iPhone and iPad, love playing it. Tried to download it on my Mountain Lioned iMac and MBP, it's a no-go. If you still have Snow Leopard as we near 2013, then you will enjoy this game. The choice you make in Episode One is crucial to the outcome of the game, but otherwise it's a change your dialogue more than a change your fate type game, but I enjoyed playing it on my iOS 6 devices. I give it four stars because it was addicting enough to make me play a few different ways to see if the outcomes changed, but the outcomes are scripted...so the game has a specific direction that you will follow regardless of choices you make.
