ED REVIEW)Like many others i have been waiting for this expansion for quite a while. So far i have not been disappointed. The pets look pretty awesome, the ability to control your pets adds a whole new experience to the game...HORSES!!!!! whhhhaaat??? pretty awesome! As a previous owner of "Unleashed" for the sims and pets for 2 i can say this is waaay better, one thing i was looking forward was a new career as a pet trainer or something similar, so far i haven't seen that in the game, if it's there i will be very happy, if not, oh well. I give this game 5 stars because i haven't been thru everything the expansion has to offer and im already having a blast, that can only mean that whatever's still there for me to discover can only be good. Love the new town as well. Very happy!Alright, lets begin from the start with what's so awesome about this game.when you first install, you see the loading screen and while blue is a lot of people's favorite color, the loading screen is not too interesting, but at this point, who cares, you just want to play! Once you get to the main menu, the first awesome thing is yes...A new town, very exciting, it's an autumn like place with mountains and plenty of space for your new pets to roam around but specially i think it was designed with the horses in mind, you will find water and hay for your horses all over town, it's a beautiful small town and i believe all the buildings on it are new...also you get a cat jungle and dog park and an equestrian center with training grounds for your horses, i like it. The town also comes with one bar, so if you don't want to completely forget about taking your sims out for a good time or you don't feel like placing your own lots or making your own little tavern, you're good. I personally believe that while you can enjoy the pets experience just as well in any other town this is a wonderful place to just have a complete experience, I love the town, I big hater of some towns like the one that came with late night, but that's because I love nature and my sims are always "outdoor lovers" lol.Once you start on your new town, or old, whatever your choice, you can create a new family and you will have the option to create 3 types of pets, dogs, cats and horses. The game does have other animals which i will mention later but this are the main ones, you have the option to design and customize this animals just like you would your sim, you can pretty much do anything, if you want a red horse of a green cat that's totally fine, and also your animals can now have traits just like your sims, this is really when you realize that this expansion is different from what we've experienced before with other pets expansions, you can control your pets, fulfill their hopes and wishes interact with other pets or sims, etc. Your pets are now, pretty much just like another sim in the household, just in animal form. They have their own wishes and their own interactions and things to do in the game some are shared and some are exclusive depending on what animal you're playing with, pretty cool. so, breeds....there's i believe 118 dog breeds, big and small, 46 cat breeds and 30horse breeds, wow, I'm impressed.Once you start playing the basics are simple, get animals by adopting...i've checked the town for a pet store, still can't find any, i think you get it if you pre-ordered, i didn't so i don't have one, I believe if you pre-ordered you get some exclusive content from the EA sims website, anyway, you can adopt your pets by using the phone or checking the neighborhood to see who has a pet they want to give away, then you can visit them and take the pet. You can buy horses from the equestrian center or adopt as well. Adoptions are free. Once you get your pets you need to provide shelter, comfort, food and water and toys or they will destroy your house, also your pets will get fleas now so you need to keep them clean, and if you don't take care of them, i believe the social worker will come and take them away, so no animal cruelty please. Your pets will have friends much like your sim, and they will whohoo just like your sim, they also have skills that they can train to get better at. Dogs will learn to dig up treasures and stuff, cats will hunt, my dog jut dug me up a space rock worth a nice 3000 simoleons, upon inspection by my sim the rock was worth 11000, not bad at all for a level 5 digger. Horses will train for competition and learn to jump. So as you can see there's a lot of stuff to do on the game, it also feels like getting a stand alone game because of the massive amount of things to do, but everything is focused on your pets so there's not a lot of stuff for just sims.Additionally your sim can now have traits like animal lover, cat lover, dog lover, and horse lover. There's no new career as a pet trainer or anything like that....it would have been nice. But your sims can make money with the pets just like i did with my space rock or in competitions and your sim can learn to ride horse, a new skill. I forgot to mention that the new town comes with a new ice cream truck! that little thing is awesome, it stops by your house or the park and you can get an ice cream cone or a few other choices of ice cream, pretty cool. Also you will have raccoon and deer running around and your pets can chase them, there's also a bunch of other minor pets that you will find around the world like lizards, snakes, turtles, rats and birds, all in great variety, you can find them and keep them or sell them, cats are good at finding these. You will also be able to use a new whohoo spot, the hay stack, lol.Overall this is the best expansion yet, in my opinion, it is everything that i hoped for and much more than i ever hoped for, the price is fair and the gaming experience and content is vast. Totally worth it!

5If anyone is affraid of downloading from this site..
By NannerPuss
After seeing the reviews im sure some are afraid to buy this, my best advise, because no one will be this price, is to buy this expansion from here but instead of downloading it from here just get your product code from the game library and download it from origins. Origins will except the product code. I've already tried it everything works fine. Loves the Sims and love this expansion.

5Tons of fun
By G. Proulx
We got this for my wife, who loves The Sims 3, and she's really enjoyed this expansion pack. In fact, I've enjoyed watching her play it. I asked her what some of her favorite aspects of the expansion are. Here they are:-There are now wildlife such as snakes and deer-You can collect certain wildlife, like turtles-Not only are there horses, but there are also unicorns-Horse jumps can be adjusted to the horse's skill level-Not only can you control your pets, but they have wishes too-Neighbors can have a litter of dogs or cats and can invite you over to adopt one-Pets can damage objects, like cats scratching furnitureOverall, I've heard nothing but good things about this expansion. I'd say it is worthy of 5 stars. Hope you enjoy it!
