I've had the hard drive for over a year now. I has worked perfectly the whole time. Its higher capacity than the OEM part, workes just as fast. The reasons I'm not rating it a 5-star are due to the data transfer. I consider myself rather computer savy. The software that came with the unit did not come with directions. after connecting my old hard drive to the data transfer cable, the data was unreadable. I realize that its possible that the data on my harddrive is damaged, but without knowing how to use the software, I can't be certain.

Get it. Hook it up. Wondered,"Why is it in Japanese?" Changed it to English... Still in Japanese. Tried transfer cable. didn't see old hard drive. Tried in in reverse. Didn't see new harddrive. Tried new transfer cable. same problem.
